This is the inspiration behind the technical and aesthetic choices in the construction of Mistral Lace. The traditional lace closure is the perfect combination of style and functionality, where the laces support stability with firm and adjustable lacing, and at the same time become a stylish detail which riders can easily replace according to needs or tastes.
Northwave's boldness finds its maximum expression in the upper. It was created as a challenge: can mechanical resistance and minimum bulk be offered in a single shoe? Northwave Lab won the challenge by constructing a hidden frame: invisible, minimal but strong and resistant. With immediate comfort. The super-light structure internally lined with microfibre favours the passage of air. The microfilm applied to certain strategic points of the upper ensures further rigidity. The 3D mesh has been chosen for its hexagonal cell construction which guarantees ventilation and stability. The details are not "just details". Not for the Northwave Lab that created the Breathing Shield System, an innovative tongue concept as a functional element for the protection and ventilation of the foot. The internal material has a micro-perforated design to ensure the shoe has additional aeration surfaces, without compromising the typical resistance of the material EVA. The carbon sole with a stiffness index of 12 and the midsole are equipped with real micro vents that take advantage of the ventilation force of air while running to combat the heat of the hottest summer days with full ventilation of the foot, including the sole.
