The tube revolution: the Schwalbe Aerothan Endurance Race SV16E 28"

Compared to butyl tubes, a weight saving of 100 grams and more can be achieved for the entire bike. You can rely on the Aerothan Tube Race Endurance not only for excellent puncture protection, but also for downhill rides: It remains absolutely heat-resistant even during several emergency braking with rim brakes in quick succession.

Aerothan Tubes are made of 100% thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) (including valve) and are therefore fully recyclable.

Note: TPU is a plastic material that will not stretch back under extreme deformation - unlike butyl, which has shrinkage characteristics. TPU always needs a counterpart - in this case the carcass - to remain dimensionally stable. Therefore, you should slightly inflate the tube during mounting (maximum 0.3 bar) and then mount it with the tire.
