During the development of Northwave Enduro Northwave turned to the top pro riders, including the legendary Cedric Gracia, the number two in the EWS 2014 rankings Damien Oton, the number three Cécile Ravanel and Spanish rider Jordi Bago, and asked them to describe what the perfect enduro shoe needs to have. A dream team of pro riders worked closely with the technical staff and craftsmen to create the definitive enduro shoe. It took over a year to analyse the feedback and translate data into real shoes. Multiple prototypes were subjected to thousands of miles of testing in all weathers. To perfect the project Northwave partnered up with the guys at Michelin Technical Soles, who shared their tyre know-how and technology so they could find the ultimate compound combination and best-performing design to accomplish their goals. Created with the experience of top champions, developed with trailblazing technologies, and driven by pure passion. These are the ingredients needed to debut the definitive enduro shoe.

Technology:

X-FIRE MICHELIN Sole: Enduro specific sole made of two different compounds and thread design directly derived from Michelin's top Mtb tires. The aggressive toe sculptures provide superior traction on muddy and wet terrain, while Northwave's exclusive X-Crossbow construction enhances the heel's area flexibility and responsiveness, for excellent shock-absorption. The cleat area design allows faster clipping and better adherence on the pedals.
MX DERIVED TOE REINFORCEMENT: Extra durable toe reinforcements derived from motocross technologies.
MULTILAYER THERMO WELDED CONSTRUCTION: New Multilayer construction: a light microfiber is coupled with large thermo welded mesh vent inserts at the same thickness of a traditional monolayer. The result: better comfort and reduced weight.
INTEGRATED HEEL SYSTEM: The new unibody construction of the uppers allowed to integrate an efficient heel retention system inside the structure, without the need of external elements. Same efficiency, reduced weight. S.L.W. 2: Maximum precision and usability. The side button offers dual functionality: press the button for micrometric release, or lift the button to instantly undo the shoe completely. The ergonomic shape of the ratchet base matches the shape of the foot for added comfort, while the size and minimized weight plus the outer soft-touch covering make it easier and better to grip.
ALL-MOUNTAIN FIT: Specially designed for all-mountain wear. This shape transfers the power to the pedals but also has a wider sole, larger toe and more spacious heel so shoes feel just as great when walking.
