Superleggera in carbon Carrera SL7 is the top of the range model born for climbing. The frame weighs only 830 grams and is extremely rigid. The cable plate is integrated and allows the internal passage of the command transmission cables: the sheaths can be repositioned, for compatibility with electronic and mechanical groups. SL-7 - DESIGN:

This bike is extremely light but has superb power and performance. The SL7 represents one of the top range of racing bicycle frame from Carrera. In order to achieve these results Carrera went to Toray Industries and selected T800 and M46J carbon material and then used the EPS (Expandable Polystyrene Shell) technology to orient and compact the carbon fibers. And like the other SL frames a special graphite epoxy resin is used to hold the frame together and increase the strength of the structure. Special shapes of the tubes maximize comfort without giving up the stiffness and performance of the ride. The SL7 frame built with top level components can be built in the 14lb range and at same time has superb stability and performance. The bike excels in climbing and has great qualities on the descents with confidence at sweeping turns and at speed.
