Irish cyclists often venture to Gran Canaria for intensive training camps, drawn by its challenging terrain and favorable climate. A standout event on the island is the Epic Gran Canaria, renowned for its competitive field including local talents and former pros.

During a notable edition when Cycletribe teammates participated, excitement peaked with the presence of Oscar Freire, a three-time world road race champion. The event features three timed sections across demanding mountainous landscapes, progressively tougher throughout the day, amplified by the island's heat, ensuring an exhilarating cycling experience.
